Shorting Problem


How to solve shorting problem in mobile phone.

1. If there is a shorting in mobile phone then first you need to check it with a multimeter. 

To do so you can check it on buzzer range. 
Put the meter's probs on battery contact points of the mobile phone if buzzer sound is generated by meter it means shorting is there in the mobile phone. 

To solve this problem you need to check following components.
  • 1.Keypad LED
  • 2.UEM/Power IC
  • 3.PFO
  • 4.Audio Amplifier IC
  • 5.BackLight IC
If anyone of the above components is short, mobile will show shorting in the meter.
Also check all the power supply capacitors and filters for this type of problem.
Most of the time This problem comes due to shorting in PFO, Power IC or capacitors.
