No disk in drive
“There is no Disk in Drive” (Solution) While Formatting the Memory card.

If you are getting such kind of error messages like “There is no disk in Drive, Please insert the disk, and then try again” While formatting the memory card (whether it is Micro SD, Mini SD or MMC) from My Computer using format option by right clicking on the drive in Windows. Such kind of error comes when Windows does not recognised the memory card. Here I am explaining in detail that how will you overcome this problem. The card you are trying to format may be of any capacity whether it is 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB or 16 GB. These tips will surely help you. These tips are on only the trial and error basis.

#1: In case you are using a memory card reader to format a memory card, check that whether the memory card reader you connected properly at the USB port of the computer. If it is ok then try to connect your memory card reader at different USB port and try to format it. If you are using USB HUB, then try to connect your card reader directly at the USB port.
If first tip does not work then try 2nd tip, If you are using inbuilt memory card reader then skip the first step.
#2: If you are using Adopter for the memory card, check whether your adopter is ok and you plug memory card into the adopter properly.
#3: Also check that contact points of the memory card are clean. You can clean the contact points through cotton or a soft cloth.
#4: Restart your PC and try again.
#5: Check that you plug adopter into the memory card reader properly and also check for its direction.

#6: Try with another Adopter and Memory card reader just to check that adopter or memory card reader not has gone bad probably.
If all the above tips does not work then
#7: Try to format the card on another PC.
#8: Try to format your memory card through Mobile handset in case if it is Micro SD/Memory card of mobile phone. If this memory card of any digital camera so try to format this memory card directly through the camera (If there is a option to format the card)
